DW Windsor announced the acquisition of PULSAR through an asset purchase agreement (APA).  PULSAR is a Cambridge-based British designer and manufactuere of architectural lighting and control systems.

PULSAR, founded in 1966, have a long history in architectural lighting and are best known for their international projects using professional, powerful LED lighting solutions – including the World Trade Centre, in Bahrain.

Terry Dean, DW Windsor CEO and Group Chairman, commented:

“Creative and experience lighting are exciting growth markets: the acquisition of PULSAR was, therefore, a logical step in the evolution of the Group – which includes DW Windsor and IoT specialist Urban Control. We have big plans for the rejuvenation of the PULSAR brand. The APA strengthens our portfolio and demonstrates our commitment to providing lighting that enhances our public realm. We believe the union of brands offers our specifiers a comprehensive toolkit of professional lighting solutions suitable for a wide variety of lighting applications, both within the UK and internationally.  The acquisition immediately expands our façade and floodlighting RGBW (colour-change) portfolio, with a complementary range of wall washing/grazing luminaires and control systems; capturing growth within the public realm markets and expanding upon international business opportunities.”

Both manufacturing facilities, DW Windsor in Hertfordshire and PULSAR in Cambridgeshire (which will remain an independent brand) will continue to operate under the agreement.
