Where will you spend the holidays? Between northern Bavaria and Berlin
What is your favourite Christmas food? Fish… I know it’s not very traditional, but I prefer fish to turkey for both Xmas and New Year!
What are you most excited about for 2020? About all the exciting projects we have in the pipeline and getting my team to grow!
What do you most want to see from lighting manufacturers in 2020? Sustainable lighting equipment – not only energy efficient, but products that provide either an EPD or have sustainable solutions, recyclability, cradle to cradle concepts that we can count upon when specifying equipment. It’s about time we get this conversation moving in lighting! We need to make more evident how really sustainable lighting solutions are…
Have you already booked your summer vacation? Not yet… I already have dates blocked, but haven’t decided where to go…
Who is your industry inspiration? I keep changing my inspiration source… at the moment, we have many internal team discussions which are very inspiring! We’re cooking up many interesting stuff for 2020!
Which product has inspired you in 2019? Some, not many, which have in the design core “dismantlability”. And adding more functions to a lighting equipment is a trend I personally like (acoustics, other electrical components, data transmission, etc)
Which project are you most proud of? In 2019 I’m very proud of my team project! I am working with wonderful and engaging people! I’m sure there will be some great work coming out of this team! We are having a lot of fun together!
Can you name another reindeer besides Rudolph? No, I have no idea about those names… L
Do you own a Christmas jumper? No…
How is sustainability changing your job? Immensely. And that’s good and it feels good! We are doing something for the future!
What is your most listened to track this year? Konzentrationsmusik at Spotify…
What was the last good film you watched? It’s been some time I have been to the movies, but I am very much liking the Mars series on Netflix…

Where was the most interesting place your job took you this year? Tokyo…
Will Brexit happen? I hope not!
What is your favourite Christmas song? The ones my 4-year old is singing now… “ oh, Tannenbaum”
How do you say Merry Christmas in another language? Feliz Natal, Frohe Weihnachten!
Do you prefer LED Christmas lights or the traditional incandescent bulbs? I think I am more to LED nowadays…
Can you remember the job/course you were you doing 20 years ago? I was at the architecture university and had taken a job as intern at a construction site, where I had my first contact with a lighting designer!
