This week saw updates to Luminaire Broker.  The application to improve and transform the way specify lighting is specified and engage with the lighting market. Circular Lighting principles are now available within the application.

“This reflects our continued commitment to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals within our work. This means we will be introducing new questions within the Luminaire Broker enquiry and specification process to allow our designers to make informed product decisions based on materials, procurement & supply chain, and operation and maintenance strategies; as well as exploring opportunities for the re-use, regeneration or recycling of lighting systems and their embodied materials. A really exciting development will help us play our part in this critical UN initiative. Secondly, this month our European colleagues joined the platform and will now start transitioning to using Luminaire Broker to specify lighting. This is the second stage of our aim to have all lighting specifiers in Arup in every region using Luminaire Broker.”

Arfon Davies, Director ARUP UK

Here at Trends in Lighting we are following the ARUP team closely to see how this exciting concept works.
