Human Centric Winning At German Design Awards

There are many deserving winners at the German Design Awards but this product in particular really caught our eye at Trends in Lighting.  KITEO won an Iconic Award: Innovative Interior, with K-SOLIS, a pendant luminaire providing ambient residential lighting.  The first decorative pendant to combine innovative design and biorhythmic lighting.   K-SOLIS achieves this using integrated PI-LED technology.  All facets of natural sunlight as well as RGB can be realistically reproduced, therefore significantly supporting the human biorhythm. There is also the opportunity to change the textile body with other lampshades.  The pendant imitates sunlight and also allows various atmospheric colour scenarios to be programmed.

K-SOLIS is a collaboration between Austrian firms KITEO and Studio Okular, sold by LuMetix.
